§ 4-28. Rabid animals.

  • (a)

    The owner of any dog or other animal affected or suspected of being affected with the disease of rabies, or any dog or other animal which has been bitten by any dog or other animal having rabies, or suspected of having the same, shall immediately notify the police department.

    (b)

    The chief of police or any peace officer of this city shall have the right to shoot or kill any rabid dog or any dog which shall manifest a disposition to bite.
