§ 2-27. Expenses; duties of officers.

  • (a)

    The expense of all city elections shall be paid by the city. The mayor, the city secretary and/or the city council shall perform each act which in other elections are required to be performed respectively by the county judge, the county clerk and the commissioners court.

    (b)

    The city secretary shall post a properly executed copy of the election proclamation and notice at the place where the election is to be held. Said notice shall be posted at least thirty (30) days before the date of said election, or for such other period as may be established by state law.
