§ 22-18. Trees protected generally.

  • The purpose of this article is the protection of the remaining trees of the two hundred (200) original liberty trees which were planted in 1976 in celebration of two hundred (200) years of United States independence, which trees shall be designated by a map to be kept at the city hall in the city, on which map, tree locations shall be designated and marked with an "X." Diboll's liberty trees cannot be removed, destroyed or altered by extensive trimming without the approval of a majority of the members of the Diboll liberty tree preservation committee.
